Nothing is known about Mary and she is not shown in 'An Officer of the Long Parliament'.
‘Slater’s Royal National Directory of Ireland, 1894’ records under the heading ‘Cork Street Directory - Tivoli road, Middle Glanmire Road’ - “Townsend Miss, Hungerford W, 2 The View.” More probably it refers to Marion Hungerford Townsend [632] who was nursing in Cork at the Women's & Children's Hospital at the time.
The Calendar of Wills and Administration 1858-1922 in the National Archives of Ireland records that probate of the will of "Townsend Mary Hungerford 52 Addison Road Hove Co Sussex” was granted 20 Feb 1919 to "Thomas Achilles Townshend". (Thomas Achilles Townshend [6A14] was Mary's brother.)
