Notes for Bryan Crofton Townsend
Following the death of his father in 2007, Bryan worked the family farm at Lowdale in the Mazowe Valley, Zimbabwe, established by his great grandfather, Thomas Crofton Townsend [5B15] in 1901. The produce from his farm is marketed through the business established by his brother Mark Townsend [5B42] in Harare.
Bryan is a qualified 'Game Guide' and relishes spending time in the bush. He gets a brief mention in the 'Journal of the Tree Society of Zimbabwe' in the paragraph headed 'LOWDALE, MAZOWE VALLEY, 15TH OCTOBER 2006'.
