MESA-Web Nuclear Reaction Networks
A nuclear reaction network ('net' for short) is defined by a set of isotopes and a set of reactions linking these isotopes. Below is a table of the nets currently available for use with MESA-Web, a list of the isotopes they contain, and examples of their use in different stellar evolution scenarios:
Net name | Isotopes | Uses |
---|---|---|
agb | n, 1-2H, 3,4He, 7Li, 7Be, 8B,12,13C,13-15N,16-18O, 19F | Evolved low-mass stars |
approx21 | n, p, 1H, 4He, 12C, 14N, 16O, 20Ne, 24Mg, 28Si, 32S, 36Ar, 40Ca, 44Ti, 48Cr, 52,54,56Fe, 56Ni | Evolved massive stars |
