Married 1892 (1). Major Robert Inglis Forbes (d 1945) Royal Hampshire Regiment, was the eldest son of Colonel Henry Twisden Forbes, Bengal Staff Corps. See Burke's Peerage - Forbes B.
Of the children:
William Robert Townsend Forbes was born in 1893 and married Evelyn Erskine-Hill, daughter of Very Rev H Erskine-Hill, on 26 August 1925. Commissioned into The Black Watch he was wounded during the First World War and died in 1967 leaving:
Ian Robert Patrick Forbes who was born on 24 October 1926.
Elizabeth Anne Forbes who was born on 25 September 1933.
Lt Cdr William Michael Forbes RN who was born on 13 November 1934.
Patrick Forbes who was born on 21 November 1938.
Kenneth Herbert Forbes was born in 1899 and married, firstly, Zara Muriel Currie, daughter of Walter Currie, on 29 November 1929. They divorced in 1938. He married, secondly, Dorothy Joan Folkard, daughter of Alfred Percival Folkard, on 10 September 1947. Kenneth was a Justice of the Peace in Karachi, then India (now Pakistan) between 1945 and 1947 and died in 1981 leaving a daughter (Susan Forbes) by his first marriage and a son (Colin Kenneth Forbes) by his second.
