Notes for Donne Townsend
Donne was born in Arusha, Tanganyika and moved to South Africa in 1964 to work as a fitter and turner in Boksburg. Later, he worked for Nestle in Pietermaritzburg.
As a young man Donne rode a motorbike from the Egypt to South Africa.
He and Wendy divorced in 1987.
