Notes for Mabel Louise Adeline Townshend (Mab)
Mabel was born in Dublin and baptized at Leeson Park on 30 April 1876.
The April 1901 Irish Census and the April 1911 Irish Census record that Mabel, a spinster, was living with her parents, her sister and two domestic staff in Foxrock. Her father's house consisted of 16 rooms, 3 stables, a coach house and a further five outbuildings.
Page 195 of the book The Memoirs and Diaries of Judith Isobel Chavasse by Dr Rachel Finnegan and published in 2024,records that Mabel, and her unmarried sister Eva Townsend [5B23], visited Judith in Castletownshend on 23 March 1910 for three days.
Nothing further is known about Mabel.
