Married 7 March 1895. Herman Gundert Harris (1) was the 6th son of George Anstruther Harris, Madras Civil Service 1831-60 (2). See Burke's Peerage - Harris B.

Of the children:

Ruth Maidie Harris was born on 1 February 1896 and died in 1926.

Doris Emma Harris was born on 7 Apr 1900. She married 1910 Albert Snook (d. 1966) and lived in Vancouver BC.

Eric Harris was born on 6 January 1902 He enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in WWI after which he was appointed PR Director of the Screen Writers Guild. He married 1st, 30 May 1920, Marjorie Peggy Vokes daughter of Charles Vokes of Winnipeg and had by her two daughters: Joan Patricia Harris (b. 21 Jun 1922) who married Alan Hussey French (3) and Elizabeth Anne Harris (b. 9 Jun 1926) who married Mr Cregar. Eric divorced his first wife in 1927 and married 2nd, 19 Jan 1946, Helen Bidwell daughter of Howard Francis Bidwell of Boston and New York and had by her a further daughter, Patricia Anne Harris.

George Rutherford Harris was born on 9 October 1903 and died in 1983. He married Apr 1927 Olive Hall, daughter of Mr Hall of Saskatchewan and had two sons and two daughters.

Edward Herman Harris was born on 12 October 1906 and died on 8 October 1963. he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and also became a missionary and a linguist. He married 24 Jun 1955, Alice Maud Duke, daughter of WT Duke of The Rifle Brigade.

(1) Herman was born somewhere in the Madras Presidency of the East India Company on 26 Jan 1859 and died in 1950. He was educated at Mansion Grammar School, Leatherhead, Surrey and studied at London University (BA).
