Notes for Walter Bevil Granville Loftus Townshend
Walter was born in Dublin and was baptized at St Stephen's Church on 18 December 1902.
The April 1911 Irish Census records that Walter, aged 8, was living at 46 Lansdowne Road, Dublin, a 13 room house, with his mother, his grandmother and brother, Hugo. None of his other brothers, aged between 10 and 15, are shown as they were presumably away at boarding school.
Walter emigrated to Rhodesia, like his brothers, but died of Blackwater fever shortly afterwards.
