Notes for Desmond Thomas Denny Townsend
Desmond was educated at Bedstone School, Bucknell, Shropshire. Following school he worked for the Automobile Association in Glasgow before taking up an appointment with British Steel in Corby, Northants, where he remained until his retirement in 2001.
Desmond retired to Torquay in 2002 and died in Torbay Hospital from complications following food poisoning.
