Nothing is known about Eleanor.
An entry in the County Directory for Passage West on page 289 of Francis Guy’s County & City of Cork Directory 1875-76 records - "Townsend Miss Eleanor, Glenbrook terrace." Strangely Eleanor is not shown in Francis Guy’s County & City of Cork Directory 1884 or 1891 though Agnes Townsend [334] (1) records her living at Glenbrook Terrace when she died.
The RBT Papers include an un-dated letter from 'Eleanor Townsend' to "My Dear Cousin". The address is shown as 5 Glenholm Terrace. (2) Confirmation that this refers to Eleanor is to be found in a letter dated 19 October 1893 from Agnes wife of the Reverend Horatio Townsend [334] to Dorothea Townsend [5D15]. (3)
Page 848 of The Calendar of Wills and Administration 1858-1922 in the National Archives of Ireland records that the will of " Eleanor Townsend late of Glenbrook Terrace Passage West County Cork Spinster”, who died on 9 January 1895, was proved at Cork on 18 February 1895 by "William Henry Beamish of The Crescent Queenstown in said County Land Agent one of the Executors". Effects £954 12s 6d.
