Notes for Helen Townsend
Helen is buried in St James' Cemetery, Mallow, Co Cork. The inscription on her headstone reads - "Here lieth the body of Helen Townsend, eldest Daughter of John Townsend Esq of Clonakilty who departed this life on 7th of March 1816 aged 17."
Five of John Townsend's eight children died young and none are mentioned by Judge John FitzHenry Townsend [250].
