Margaret and Oscar looked after her mother in Sydney during her severe illness for eighteen months before she died in 1946.
The daughter Jean Margaret Holmstrom was born on 2 February 1925 and died on 27 August 1983. She married James Robert MacFadyen and had three sons:
Ian Robert McFadyen who was born on 31 January 1949 and married Annette Elizabeth Muir on 10 August 1974.
David Edgar McFadyen who was born on 4 June 1952 and married Christina Dorothy Russell on 5 July 1975.
Peter Gregory McFadyen who was born on 19 April 1954 and married Sharene Ruth Smith 17 June 1978.
