Red giant mode identification

Post by Christopher-Lindsay » Mon Jun 14, 2021 7:59 am

I am having an issue with dipole mixed mode labeling in red giant models. For example in the attached screen shot the values of n_g decrease by one for each subsequent mode but every once in a while it looks like the n_p value jumps away from its normal value and the n_g value jumps down by more than one (see where n_p = 14, n_g = 746.)

I am using an inverse frequency grid with 150,000 points and my grid parameters are
w_osc = 20,
w_exp = 20, and
w_ctr = 20
Should I be using an even finer grid or could this be a issue with the mixed mode labeling in GYRE?
