Hi all,
I am trying to look at the non-adiabatic pulsations modes of a 20 solar mass star on the main sequence.
Whereas the adiabatic modes are easily found, several (but not all) of the non-adiabatic modes I get the error message:
"Failed during deflate narrow : out-of-domain frequency"
I have tried to vary alpha_osc, alpha_exp, n_inner (the relative high values seen in the gyre.in file is because this combination seemed to minimize the numbers with out-of domain frequency), nfreq and the bounds on frequencies (and run it on a 5 solar mass model, but the error message persist for some of the modes). I am new to GYRE and so I apologize if this is a trivial error.
Thank you,
Albert

Re: Out-of-domain frequency
Hi,
This error-message was for me just symptomatic of GYRE not properly converging. So if anybody runs into similar problems it can be solved by using a different diff_scheme (ie changing to a Magnus solver for initial-value integration fixed it).
