Dear Rich,
I am experimenting with my inlist setup, to ensure that all dipole modes (m=-1, 0, +1) are perfectly solved, as I keep increasing the rotation rate.
I have attached two figures showing how these modes (rotationally) split as the rotation rate is cranked up. For a better comparison, the zonal and sectoral modes are connected with solid lines, along constant n_pg.
In a separate email, I will shortly send you all inputs required to reproduce the figure.
My problem is the emergence (and evolution) of a sequence of points (not connected by any line) that shoots from lower to higher frequencies.
This occurs for both zonal and prograde series.
At the beginning, I thought I am not resolving the frequency scanning range sufficiently.
However, increasing n_freq to 1000 still did not solve this.
Would you kindly enlighten me, what I'm doing wrong here?
Kind regards,
Ehsan.
