Re: Comparison between ADIPLS and GYRE

Okay, it looks like the errors are actually much smaller. I wasn't normalizing the dimensionless frequencies correctly. While the new version is in the works, the real differences for the original table are (for example): l n ADIPLS GYRE 0 1 258.0090 0 2 404.4811 0 3 535.9398 535.9457 0 4 680.5734 6...

Comparison between ADIPLS and GYRE

I've been toying around with both ADIPLS and GYRE lately, and recently found that GYRE and ADIPLS seem to give me different results. I noticed this error because I was calculating frequencies for other solar models with GYRE and found that they didn't match observed frequencies (e.g. the BiSON 23 ye...

Re: floating point exception in example models

I'm posting this report here because I suspect it's a related issue. I might be totally wrong though. When I try to run the non-adiabatic Beta Cep test case with the sixth-order solver, I get floating point errors in the proximity search and a crash. gyre_nad [1.1.2] ================ Compiler : GCC ...

Re: Warning during runtime

I thought I'd chip in that I see something similar when I run the non-adiabatic Beta Cep test-case with `ivp_solver_type = 'MAGNUS_GL4'`. Here's the output: gyre_nad [1.1.2] ================ Compiler : GCC version 4.9.0 20130408 (experimental) Compiler options : -I /usr/users/wball/mesa/sdk/include ...
