Re: HDF5 file locking errors

Thanks for the info, Thomas. My suspicion is that the problem lies with the HDF5 library that ships with the SDK, rather than with GYRE. So, I'm not sure there's much that can be done at my end.

Getting ready for the GYRE 6.0 release...

Hi folks -- I've been relatively silent over the past couple of years, but nevertheless quite busy. I'm planning to push out the next major release of GYRE at the end of the month, and I'd like to hear any last-minute bug reports or showstoppers before I do so. GYRE now lives on github, and (assumin...

Re: GYRE docs permanently down? "Bitbucket no longer supports Mercurial repositories."

Oh dear, looks like Bitbucket finally made good on their threat!

This gives me impetus to roll out the new docs. I'll see what I can do this week.

Re: fundamental mode

Hi Meridith -- Thanks for the clarification! For the record, n_p counts the number of wavefunction nodes in acoustic propagation zones, and n_g the corresponding number of nodes in gravity-wave propagation zones. These countings neglect any node at the center, *except* for radial modes where the cen...

Re: fundamental mode

Hi Meridith --

Thanks for your question. Can you give a specific example of GYRE labeling the FM as n=0? Because I don't think it does!

Rich

Re: bugs in GYRE 5.2 with .OSC files and non-adiabatic eigenfunctions

Hi Lionel --

As a final note, the patch should also fix the lag_P /= 0 issue when you use the VACUUM boundary condition.

Re: bugs in GYRE 5.2 with .OSC files and non-adiabatic eigenfunctions

Hi Lionel -- For your questions about the different variables_set choices, I think you've run into a known bug in GYRE 5.2. To fix it, please try applying the patch posted in this thread: http://www.astro.wisc.edu/~townsend/gyre-forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=221 Regarding the different numerical values...
