Pictor
Position in the Sky
Pictor was named by Abbé
Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. He originally called it Equuleus
Pictor (the Horse Painter??) but it was changed to Pictor to avoid
confusion with Equuleus in the northern
hemisphere.
