Courses

The Astronomy Department offers a variety of undergraduate courses, covering all major areas of modern Astronomy. In general, 100-level courses are open to all students, with minimal pre-requisites.

Astronomy majors should take the required 200-level Introduction to Physics class sequences before taking any of the range of 300-level upper level courses offered. Some 500-level graduate courses are also open to undergraduate enrollment with instructor consent.
