Instrumentation and Precision Machining

The Instrumentation and Precision Machining Shop offers in house precision machining, 3D modeling design (CAD and CAM), and fabrication solutions to research groups.

Available services include CNC machining, TIG welding, precision milling and lathe work, 3D modeling with CAD and CAM software, and close tolerance fabrication.

The shop has played an essential role in producing parts for many research projects, several example include fixtures for CassIAS, SALT, rocketry components, and precision laboratory fixtures.
